October Professional Mixer

Posted at October 9, 2007 01:12 PM in Program .

The LA ACM program for October, which was a professional mixer at El Segundo Fish Co. in (where else) El Segundo, took place on Monday evening, October 8, 2007, after the council meeting. Around 20 computer science professionals were in attendance.

Some initiatives were launched amidst the mingling, seafood, and drinks; volunteers came up for tackling various elements for a new LA ACM Web presence. Plans include a new static site, a blog (this one), a Wiki, and a private portal for organization records. Watch this space for updates on where these initiatives go.

I have now checked the entire static web site contents into CVS under the acm project that was set up for us. We are "committed"!!

Thanks to Caskey L. Dickson for setting us up and providing the development space. You ROCK!
