Meetings and Cool TODOs
Lots of Announcements for January!
January Meeting Date Change!
Our January 2009 meeting will NOT be on the first week of the month this time. We are moving it back a week, so as to accommodate the schedule of our speakers. The LMU senior Computer Science class has implemented an application for iPhone, and they will be coming to show us their project. But, because the semester doesn't start until January 12th, we are postponing a week. Check back here in a couple of weeks for meeting details.
An Opporutunity from UC Irvine ~~
I received a notification from the UCI listserve about a yearly competition for entrepreneurs, called "hITEC". Here is a copy of the information I was sent, which includes links for more information.
hITEC - the ICS Technology and Entrepreneurship CompetitionRegister TODAY!
Registration for this year's hITEC is already open. Get your team mates on board, your idea polished, and sign up for this year's competition.
Do you think you have a great idea about a product that could change the way people do things?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then hITEC is for you! Already have an idea, a team, and a mentor in mind? Then the more reason for you to sign up! Need to find a team? Use the online forum!
For information on the program, rules and benefits, visit: http://www.ics.uci.edu/community/events/extreme/index.php
You don't know what the competition is about?
You haven't finalized your project idea?
You have until the first submission deadline to finalize your product idea. For registration, we just need a general area for your idea in order to match you with the appropriate mentor.
You don't have enough team mates?
