DESCRIPTION:
Does your product delight its users and customers, making them passionate
advocates and repeat buyers? Your new technologies and software features are
cool (of course!), but do your customers clearly perceive them as both
useful and usable? To help product managers and developers answer "yes" to
all these questions, User Experience (UX) professionals support the entire
product lifecycle, in phases including requirements generation/validation,
user interface (UI) design, development, usability testing, marketing,
training, and customer support. Modest UX investments in these phases can
significantly reduce development risk and promote market success.

In its inaugural two-part event, the UX BIG will introduce you to UX
activities across the product lifecycle. Each event will include brief
presentations followed by open Q&A. The presenters and panelists are leading
UX practitioners in the San Diego area, from sectors including software,
hardware, consulting, and government.

Part II (Oct. 17) will focus on UX roles in the software development
lifecycle, and how to measure UX benefits.
